Problems you recognise Rooms and desks
Exchange resource mailboxes accept invitations by their own policy, not by your booking rules, so quotas, approvals and check-in requirements never apply.
Resource policies attach to each room in Offision — quotas, approvals, check-in windows and who may book. Calendar invitations honour those rules because the room record in Offision governs what Exchange or Google accepts.
They are separate. Calendar and resource sync can run before or after you move to Entra ID single sign-on, though many teams do both in one project.
When bookings live in two systems that sync loosely, people stop trusting both — and start double-booking on purpose.
